Student Fee Insurance
$50.00
This is a fee to cover the insurance to protect student fees. The fee is based upon one stage of study and will be included on the first invoice.
Student ID card
$25.00
One off payment at beginning of study. Replacement cards are $25.00

Additional costs

  • Medical and travel insurance (compulsory for international students) – Approximate cost is around NZ$500.00 per annum. This can be purchased from NZTC. Insurance purchased from NZTC meets the conditions for insurance stipulated in the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. All insurance submitted to NZTC will be evaluated to ensure it meets the conditions. If the insurance does not, no Confirmation of Enrolment will be issued. Please check here.
  • Approximately NZ$600.00 per year for textbooks. These can be purchased from NZTC Books.

Safeguarding tuition fees

In the unlikely event that New Zealand Tertiary College is unable to deliver the program you have enrolled in, New Zealand Tertiary College has protected your fees with Public Trust.  Fees deposited and protected by the Public Trust are held in the Common fund which has an unsecured guarantee from the New Zealand Government.  The student fee protection for new Zealand Tertiary College is fully compliant with NZQA rules.  Should access to your fees be necessary, you may contact Public Trust on 0800 494 733 or feeprotect@publictrust.co.nz. This arrangement has been accepted by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority as meeting the requirements of the Education Act 1989 and the Student Fee Protection Rules 2013.
